Audio in all its forms - music, sound effects, dialog - holds tremendous potential to engage, convey narrative, inform, dramatize and enthrall. However, in computer-based environments, for example games, nowadays the interaction abilities through and with sound are still underrepresented.
The Audio Mostly Conference provide a venue to explore the unexploited potential of audio in computer-based environments, for example game contexts, and aim to help open up this area of thinking by bringing together game designers, audio experts, content creators, and technology and behavioural researchers. Through this forum, varied experts could discuss developments and new potentials for audio in many areas such as entertainment, health and fitness, education, industrial training, serious gaming, etc. This is also a venue to present sonic solutions to development and design challenges in low resolutions scenarios or environments where screens are unavailable.

Op 24 oktober brengt het Metropole Orkest onder leiding van meester-arrangeur Vince Mendoza een spetterend concert in de 'Rode Doos' van Vredenburg Utrecht met filmscores van o.a. Duke Ellington (Anatomy of a Murder), Henry Mancini (The Pink Panther), Nino Rota (La Dolce Vita) Ennio Morricone (The Good The Bad and The Ugly), Leonard Bernstein (On the Waterfront) en nog veel meer!

Initiated at the occasion of the CENTENARY OF FILM MUSIC 1908/1909 – 2008/2009, the EUROPEAN FILM MUSIC DAYS (EFMD) have been selected as one of the events of the EUROPEAN CULTURAL SEASON taking place during the French Presidency of the Council of the European Union (July1st - Dec. 31st, 2008).
Organised by FFACE (Federation of Film and Audiovisual Composers of Europe) in partnership with the CITÉ DE LA MUSIQUE, the EUROPEAN FILM MUSIC DAYS are conceived as a cross-professional platform bringing together protagonists from the film and television sector on the theme of pictures and music, as well as representatives from related political and cultural bodies. This new and original event will be renewed on a yearly basis with a focus on economic, creative and educational targets. Around 250 film and music professionals, representatives of institutions, journalists and interested parties are expected to attend this first edition of THE EUROPEAN FILM MUSIC DAYS.
